Global Logistic Properties (GLP), the provider of modern logistics facilities in China and Japan, says it recently signed a strategic partnership framework agreement with Unicharm, a Japan-based leading manufacturer.
The deal outlines a strategic partnership in the development of logistics facilities for manufacturing bases of Unicharm in China, and starts with a Build-to-Suit (BTS) development agreement with Unicharm and Tianjin Xiqing Economic Development Area (XEDA), to develop Unicharm’s largest manufacturing and distribution facility in North China.
Unicharm is the manufacturer of baby care, feminine care and healthcare products with operations in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. GLP will partner with Unicharm in the site selection, project planning and development of its manufacturing and distribution centres in China. With the BTS development in GLP Tianjin XEDA as the starting point, the strategic cooperation places GLP as Unicharm’s preferred partner for its subsequent projects, which would include potential development opportunities throughout China.
